 e at least 18 years of age by Election Day\, have resided in the state for 
 at least 30 days\, and are not under felony conviction\, are eligible to vo
 te in Texas. To register\, complete and return a voter registration applica
 tion form\, which is available at your local post office\, libraries\, Depa
 rtment of Motor Vehicles and some state agencies\, and online at www.sos.st
 ate.tx.us/elections/voter/. Your spouse\, parent\, or child (acting as an a
 gent) may also complete and sign a voter registration application for you\,
  provided that this person is a registered voter\, or has applied for voter
  registration.\n\n\n\n\nABSENTEE BALLOTS\n\nIf you know you will be unable 
 to make it to the polls on Election Day\, be sure your voice is heard by vo
 ting via absentee ballot! To vote absentee\, appear in person at your Count
 y Clerks office. To vote by mail\, submit a written request for an absentee
  ballot to the early voting clerk. Be sure to include your name\, address (
 where you are registered to vote and where you would like the ballot mailed
 )\, reason why you need to vote absentee\, and your signature. You may appl
 y for an early ballot by mail up to 60 days prior to the election\, but no 
 later than 7 days before the election. Early voting in person starts 17 day

 ELECTIONS\n\nTexas has an open primary election system\, meaning that all r
 egistered voters may vote in either of the party's primaries\, but not in m
 ore than one. After voting in a party's primary election\, you are automati

 end of the calendar year. When requesting an absentee ballot for the primar
